Planning a Business Website: Start With the Goal, Not the Pages
Draft — pending owner review. This article is a general planning note, not published expert guidance.
Before choosing colours or layouts, write down the one action you most want a visitor to take. For most businesses it is an enquiry, a booking, an order or a phone call.
List the pages that support that action and nothing else. Extra pages dilute attention and make maintenance harder.
Draft the content for the home and contact pages first. Design is much easier to judge when real words are in place.
Finally, agree how you will measure success: enquiries, calls, orders or bookings — and check them regularly after launch.
